Idaho has special meaning
because my beautiful daughter and her family live there!

Idaho became our 43rd state on July 3, 1890.
1. It’s the 13th largest state in the United States.

2. Shoshone Falls, The Niagara of the West,

3. It’s nickname is the “Gem State”, because nearly every known type of

The dunes consist of 10,000 acres or 15 miles of sand dunes,
9. Grangeville is located in north central Idaho.
The community is considered the gateway to five wilderness areas
and four national forests totaling 5 1/2 million acres.
The total is second only to Alaska in designated wilderness area.
10. Sacagawea was born in 1788, into a Shoshone Tribe,
in Lemhi County, near present day Salmon, Idaho.
I have absolutely LOVED learning about Sacagawea this week
and a lot about Idaho I didn't know. I have so many places on my bucket list,
we are going to be traveling a long time.

ReplyDeleteOh yes, I have something to share about South-Africa ;-) The largest diamond found in 1985 was almost 546 carats ! I have seen a replica and it is HUGE.
