Recipe for baking cauliflower with cheese and egg in the oven.
Ingredients
- Cauliflower – 500 g
- Hard cheese – 70 g
- Chicken egg – 1 pcs.
- Cream butter – 20 g
- Flour – 1 tablepoon
- Olive oil – 1 teaspoon
- Nutmeg – 5 g
- Cream – 200 ml
- breadcrumbs – 20 g

Cauliflower is known to be quite a diet vegetable, healthy and juicy. During the cauliflower season I cook a lot of dishes made of cauliflower – cutlets, pancakes, mashed potatoes soup. But the best way to prepare cauliflower, as for me, is in an oven with cheese in cream.
That’s why today I suggest baking cauliflower in an oven with cheese, cream and breadcrumbs. The latter give the dish a beautiful color and crispy effect. You can serve such cabbage as a separate dish or as a side dish to meat, fish.
We prepare all the products for baking cauliflower.
First of all, put the breadcrumbs in a dry pan and fry them until golden and crispy.
In a saucepan, heat up the butter and mix it with flour, stir everything well with a spoon. Pour the cream into the saucepan and beat it well with a whisk until a homogeneous sauce is obtained. Put the sauce in a bowl, add the nutmeg.
We hammer in sauce one egg.
Hard cheese three on the grater and also add to the sauce. Well still beat up once again with a whisk. Filling sauce is ready. Note that I don’t add any salt to the sauce as the cheese is usually salty enough.
Break cauliflower into florets, wash under running water and boil in boiling salty water for 5-6 minutes. Drain the water from the cauliflower.
Grease the baking mold with olive oil and then spread the cauliflower inflorescences in a single layer.
Pour the cabbage with our filling sauce.
Sprinkle the top with breadcrumbs. You can put a couple of slices of butter on top. Send the form to the oven, heated to 170 ° C, for 10-15 minutes.
Ready cauliflower, baked in an oven with cheese, serve to the table, decorated with parsley and chili pepper, if desired.
The sauce will thicken, the cheese will become viscous, bread crispy bread crumbs, and cauliflower will remain juicy and fragrant!
